About the project

The project aims to mobilize 20 communities from Botoșani, Iași and Vaslui counties in order to participate at the public decisions making that affects them. Therefore, 2000 young people (with the age between 14 and 35) with spirit of initiative are encouraged and supported to actively participate in the promotion and implementation of their own ideas regarding aspects related to the improvement of life in their communities. They will benefit from training and all the support of our team to become examples of civic engagement.

Main activities



Monitoring the activity of the local public authority

by young people, supervised by mentors;
In this stage, the following will be carried out: Analysis of community needs, Analysis of problems reported by citizens, Analysis of public authority activity, Participation of young people in local council meetings, Analysis of local council decisions, Request for information of public interest



Promoting and supporting the civic initiatives of young people

supervised by mentors;
Young people from the communities will come up with proposals to change local priorities and policies to better serve the needs of the community.
In each community, at least 2 civic initiatives on different topics will be developed, which will be submitted to the local authorities



Civic involvement competition

The competition aims to create materials to promote civic involvement and the realization of civic initiatives.
20 prizes will be awarded to the winners.
The competition jury will be made up of mass media experts co-opted in the project.



Collaboration with mass media

throughout the duration of the project in order to produce broadcasts, articles that support civic activism and the initiatives of young people in the communities

Ceplenița Rural Development Association

Initially established with the aim of supporting the preservation of the local specificity by presenting and promoting local traditional art, ADR Cepleniţa has expanded its field of activity over time, also focusing on civic involvement in the community, for the active participation of citizens in administrative decisions.
